Five Staff Favourites This January
There’s a bunch of things we’re excited about this January! To kick it off with our own games, Improbable Escapes has a bunch of games available this month! It’s the last month to play The Great Maple Syrup Heist at Bellevue House National Historic Site, so make sure to play this amazing actor-run experience before it’s gone! On warmer winter days, we’re running Dashing Through The Snow, which takes you throughout the streets of Downtown Kingston. We also have Love Letter Lockdown and The Legend of the Mayan Temple that are exciting family-friendly games, and Coroner’s Report, a horror game for players ages 16+.
Feature Game of the Month: Love Letter Lockdown
There’s a lot of other fun things to do in our Limestone City before the month ends:
Games Night at Minotaur
Did you know that Minotaur holds a free games night every Thursday and Sunday from 5-9pm? (Yes, you read that right, free.) The night is led by friendly staff who will teach you to plan any of the games. It’s an exceptional activity to do with friends, and also a great activity for solo players looking to make new friends.
Trivia Night at The Brooklyn
This is a staff favourite at Improbable Escapes! Thinkin’ and Drinkin’ trivia at The Brooklyn is every Wednesday night from 9pm-11pm. It’s a great midweek break where you can hang out with some friends and test your obscure pop culture knowledge. Compete with a team of six for drinks and glory!
K-Pass Winter
K-Pass Winter is brand new this year and includes over $150 worth of admissions and value. At your first destination, your K-Pass is activated and you have 72 hours to use the K-Pass to its full potential! There are a lot of fun activities that are included in K-Pass, such as Improbable Escapes, the VR Hut (Kingston’s first virtual reality experience center), a Kingston Walking Tour, Lumina Borealis, and so much more! This is a great way to explore the city at a very affordable rate!
Float at Immerse Spa
Another staff favourite is taking one hour to calm your mind and body at Immerse Spa. At Improbable Escapes, we love one-hour experiences, and float therapy is a very different one hour experience to help you relieve some of the stress you might acquire after playing an escape room! (We’re just kidding). It’s also a perfect way to rest your body after all that shoveling and shivering in the cold!
Catch a Film at The Screening Room
Have you ever seen a movie at The Screening Room? If not, you’re missing out! The Screening Room is a 2-screen independent movie theatre located right in the heart of downtown Kingston! They specialize in art-house, indie, foreign, and classic cinema. We love supporting local and watching a movie in The Screening Room. Check out what’s playing this month here.
