Summer Events in Kingston

Wow! Can you believe it's already the end of July? It feels like the year just began and yet so many amazing things have happened already! 

There is always so much excitement in the city in July, tourism season is in full force and there is still so many amazing things that will be happening in the city in the next few months! 

We wanted to do a little post about things that we are excited about for the summer, and some of these events you will be able to see us at too! 

Summer events in Kingston

These events, for the most part, happen every year. They bring people from near and far to our little busy city for all of the excitement. 

1. Princess Street Promenade - August 5th

This is probably one of our favourite events of the summer season in downtown Kingston! The city closes down Princess street for the day and everyone comes out to the street! Stores that are off of Princess street have the ability to set up a booth and advertise on Princess street, like us! There are so many activities too: a petting zoo, rock climbing wall, games to play, fun for the whole family! Stop by our booth on August 5th, we'll be at the corner of Bagot and Princess Street! There is also another Princess Street Promenade that happens in the Fall, we will probably be at that one too!

2. Wolfe Island Music Festival - August 11th & 12th

The Wolfe Island Music Festival is back this year after a one year hiatus. This local, non-profit music festival features both local and out of town talent right in our backyard! A FREE 20 minute ferry ride gets you over to Wolfe Island where the festival takes place! With almost 20 talented artists, you're sure to have a good time at this festival! There is both a weekend pass and day passes for each day available! You can camp onsite as well, so you can experience the whole festival vibe from start to finish! Check them out!

3. Back to the Farm Beer & Music Festival - August 20th

The Mackinnon Brothers started this festival at their farm & brewery to celebrate their first year of business, and this summer will mark the 3rd year in a row they have run it. It is just a one day festival but features some amazing local talent as the entertainment. And guess what, we will be there this year! We are bringing our 10 minute pop-up escape game for everyone to enjoy for the day during the festival! Come get locked in for 10 minutes with us! 

4. Limestone City Blues Festival - August 24th - August 27th

If the blues are your thing, look no further than the Limestone City Blues Festival! A 4 day festival with shows happening in different venues. For one price you get to attend all of the shows and have access to all of the venues. 

5. Limestone City Tattoo Festival - September 16th - September 17th

This year will be the second year for the Limestone City Tattoo & Arts Festival, and it's such a cool event! A smaller festival than some of the other tattoo festivals that happen in the area, but that's part of its charm as well. There are only 40 artists that have been selected by the festival organizers who represent Canada, the US and beyond! We've been asked to be a part of the festival this year for the entertainment portion. We will be bringing and setting up our 10 minute pop-up game for everyone to enjoy over the course of the weekend! Stay tuned for more details about contests and other exciting news!
