NO HARRY POTTER GAME FOR IMPROBABLE ESCAPES

Alright, let’s address the elephant in the room...

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past couple weeks, you’ve probably seen the “Harry Potter Escape Room Opening Near Toronto” headlines, or the many others promoting this escape game.

And believe us, we are a bunch of Potterheads here at Improbable Escapes too, and are very curious about this particular escape game. Thanks to all of our supporters who have tagged us in the posts, or shared it on our page, or simply just asked if this is something we will be bringing to Kingston. Unfortunately, the answer is no. As we have responded to many of you who have asked, it’s expensive to get the legal rights to use movie or TV show themes for escape rooms. We are still very much a small, local business and do not have the money to pay for the intellectual property that is required to put on an escape room like that. But if we could, we would be all over it!

We pride ourselves on coming up with original themes and games for all of you to come and play. We have definitely discussed a magic themed escape room, and maybe with the recent buzz around the Harry Potter room, this one will go back to the top of our list. Trust that we are doing everything that we can to bring you the best escape game experiences here in Kingston and your feedback and input makes us grow as a company each and every day!

So we are sorry to say that a Harry Potter Escape Room, or at least one that uses specific details from the books and movies, will not be coming to Improbable Escapes (unless we take over the world!). But we will always take your comments into consideration when discussing our new experiences for you, after all, without you, we don’t exist!

We have a lot of exciting plans for this year, new rooms, more immersive experiences in the rooms, and new pop-up locations! Our next game is set to open in early May, with many others set to open over the course of the year!
